My Passion for the Sky

I'm in love with the sky. I don't know what it is, something about looking out and up. At something that is clearly larger than me. I have seen my fair share of beautiful sunrises, in Hawaii. And I can't think of very many things that are more beautiful. I love Oregon's Sunsets, they are constantly filled with more color than, imaginable. I don't know the science behind it,
nor do I really to.
I'm currently laying on my bed, in the dark. Enjoy the wonders of lightning. On our drive here, my mother and I cha chaed lightning. Because she said it came down, and I said it came from the ground up. Guess what we were both right. Currently it looks like it is going sideways. The last bolt, just lit up an entire dark cloud, showing reds and oranges (I don't understand. )
I love magic, from Magicans on cruise ships, to Harry Potter, I love it all. And sometimes I sit and wonder how the trick is possible, but other times I like being purely amazed. Science is great and all, but God amazes me. I like not know how everything works, and just enjoying that it happens.
Part of the magic behind lightning, is the surprise. And the excitement that comes by catching a glimpse just at the right moment. This same magic is found in seeing Shooting Stars. Being able to see such a magical moment, brings me great joy.
Also if you know me, you know I am absolutely in love with is the moon. The moon is "my candle in a cave." I fell in love with the moon, when I was on the back of a boat. (Prineville) The way its reflection fell into the water, and came right up to my feet dipped into the water. Ever since that week, I stop to look up. Pause and enjoy the moon. Try it sometime, you might find you too are in Love.
